I saw this guy perched on our neighbour's TV antenna, but by the time I grabbed my camera I only got one shot off as it took off... But I was pretty happy with the result.

Morning Mist

I headed to Herdsman Lake early this morning and got a few shots. The mist on the water was quite nice.

New Nikkor 300mm f4 lens (新レンズ：ニコン300mmf4))

I recently sold my bigma and have just bought its replacement: a nikon 300mm f4 prime lens. I haven't had much chance to use it yet, but my first impressions are good. It is much faster to lock on to the subject than the bigma, takes beautifully sharp photos, and with an extra couple of stops of light than the bigma will give me better opportunities in low light. I shot this Nankeen Kestrel near Kalbarri in Western Australia. It was hovering above something it had spotted in the scrub.

I spotted this osprey sitting on the sign post marking a dog beach in Port Gregory, about 500 km north of Perth.

Tight crop, but noticed this guy up a gum tree in a nearby park. It is a type of falcon.
近く撮れんかったけど近くの公園で気づいた。タカの一種。
